Ensuring iphone5 remains unlocked?

When my sim free iphone5 arrives from Apple I will be putting in the nano sim card that Orange are supplying me. Im currently half way through my 2yr contract with them, so will this new sim card cause my handset to 'lock' to Orange or will it remain unlocked?

no.

the pone is factory unlocked. the software on it is not locked. it would be unlawful for orange to lock YOUR phone. They can only lock their subsidized phones
