Entering A Password Into "Terminal" ?

Hello,

I am trying to download a program that requires the
use of the Mac Terminal.
I was able to paste the link into it, but it keeps asking me for a Password.

There is a very small grayish icon of apparently a key that appears.

But it will not allow me to enter my Apple, or any other, password.

I know very little about using Terminal, frankly.

How do I enter, and where, the Password that it
is "apparently" requesting ?

it should be the password you use to sign into your mac... does that not work?

if its using "sudo" then the password is not shown when you enter it no dots nothing , just do as fisherking said use the your logon password
