Hello,

I receive some HTML newsletters everyday that contains graphics (header,
section headers, etc.). Every day, Entourage refuses to download the
pictures. I've already marked these as a safe domains and have marked these emails as 'not junk.' Is there any way I can make Entourage automatically download pics from certain emails? Thanks,

Luis

Yep.

Entourage menu-->Mail & News Preferences-->click Read tab-->under HTML make sure both boxes are checked.

At least that's how Entourage X works. Should be the same in 2004.

The problem is that we're not talking about attached pics (for which I think you had the solution) but about linked pics that load from the server when the msg is viewed. As you probably know, spammers sometimes use these to make sure msgs are viewed, and MS is preventing these from loading "to protect your privacy." But I get regular emails from senders I trust and I don't want to have to click to view the pics every single time.

It may be there's no way around it...it's just frustrating to be treated like a child by software. Thanks.

Didn't work

Putting the senders in my address book didn't work either...but thanks anyway.

This may be a solution...will let you know tomorrow:

A new security feature in Entourage 2004 blocks the display of pictures (and
other linked mail content) hosted on remote sites. Images can be loaded for
individual messages by clicking on the ‘Download Pictures’ link in the
yellow message status bar. This was a huge feature request from users that
found the all embracing ‘All Pictures’ or ‘No Pictures’ too limiting.

There is a setting in the security section of the preferences to
automatically download pictures from recipients who are in your address
book. That should suffice for most users. If you really want to download all
images from all sources, you can put ".com", ".net", ".org" etc to your list
of safe domains in the Junk Mail Protection dialog. Then, images from all
untrustworthy sources will be downloaded.
