I have Entourage 2004 Version 11.3.6 (070618) on 10.3.9 and I'm having issues with IMAP connections. If I use Live Sync, I get the following error pretty regularly (several times a day).

Error
Connection to the server failed or was dropped.

Explanation
Account name: "IMAP Test"


Error: -17895

If I turn off Live Sync and do a scheduled check (via IMAP) every 5 minutes, I notice that a lot of mail delivery seems to be delayed. So I can have robust but late delivery or prompt but flaky delivery.

I've tried 4 other clients on 2 platforms and none of them seem to have any trouble maintaining a live IMAP sync with the server. Mail.app works fine, Thunderbird works fine (both Mac and PC), Outlook 2003 works fine, and Outlook Express (PC) works fine. All update promptly and stay connected all day without any glitches. Simultaneously, even.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? (Either the delay of delivery with scheduled IMAP checks or the lost connection with Live Sync IMAP access.)
