Entourage 2008- Why does it block sending or receiving messages from Hotmail account

Hi Folks,

At my work we use Entourage 2008- the problem is that we cannot receive or send messages to and from hotmail accounts. I was just wondering if anyone knew why? and if there is a solution to this. I've read a lotta forum's and the like with people having problems attaching or using entourage for free email accounts. But this is focusing on sending or receiving to and from.
