Hey,

Anyone experience this issue?

I have an iMac c2d (white) with 2.33 ghz and 2 gb ram. I am (trying to) running Entourage 2008 to access my work exchange e-mail. I attempted to use sync services to sync to ical and to my phone. I had done this with Entourage 2004, with a few issues, but otherwise ok. I realized that when I installed office 2008, the option to sync with sync services had become unchecked.

So, I checked it, and Entourage reported that the database file was damaged and needed to rebuild. However, after a lengthy procedure, upon step 4 (copying records to new database), the database utility gradually eats up memory and processor usage until it hangs at the very end.

I have tried this several times and have had no luck. I've restarted before trying as well.

It looks like it is attempting to copy fragments of the old database and use it in the restored one. Is there any way to force it (i.e. wipe the original database and start over)? Maybe that would do it?

Thanks for any help you could give!
