Entourage email links not working

I'm using a new Powerbook G4 with the latest version of OS X and Entourage X. When trying to link a task, calender event or note to a new email, after the email is sent it arrives without the linked task, note etc. I can send file attachments fine, but not the linked ones. Any comments would be appreciated.
