My Entourage email stopped sending outbound messages yesterday in the middle of the day with error messages that it was 1) refused and that 2) I went over my daily SMTP limit. I waited until today to call godaddy {email provider} to see whether an overnite reset on their end needed to occur. When I spoke with them today {about 24 hrs after this first started} they saw that my 250 daily limit had been reached on one of my email accts. They thought my account was spoofed and suggested I change my password in the godaddy email account panel and then in my Entourage acct settings. After I did this as I then refreshed my window in their email control panel for another email account I watched as the "used today" limit increased, 1 by 1.
They then suggested I change my password again but only in the godaddy control panel and not on Entourage. The "used today" # immediately stopped. At that point they thought my system may have been compromised. I started hunting around and found a log in Console showing the attached message. I cannot copy & paste the message
so I've attached a screenshot in it's entirety. It basically is showing that this happened in Entourage about 2 hours before I was not able to send any more emails: "NSConcreteMutableData autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking". There are a few more logs about Excel, ScreenSaverEngine and firefox after this Entourage error and before I was unable to send.
I'm learning as much as I can just now about increasing my security and am wondering if anyone has insight into this mess?? I'm kinda freaked out and am also wondering if someone can access/see my computer just now. Many thanks in advance for any thoughts/suggestions you may be able to offer.
