Entourage-Exchange Category sync

After many hours of hair pulling, I finally got Entourage 2004 to sync with Exchange 2003. But, when my contacts sync, the Category field does not make the trip. All imported contacts Category field read "None" in Entourage. I use this field extensively when working with contacts, and I'd rather not enter Category fields for 2300 contacts manually

Is there a way to sync the category field also?

I presume that you mean that you have synced your Outlook and Entourage 2004 contacts via Exchange. There is no Category field among contacts in Outlook Web Access. There is one among Entourage 2004 contacts and, I presume, among Outlook contacts. There are also mind-numbing incompatibilities between Outlook and Entourage. I'm guessing that you have no choice but to enter your Categories manually.
