Hi,
This is driving me up the wall. Since transfering to the Mac, I have put all my contacts into Entourage. I now want to get them out and this is the problem.

When I export them, I only get the choice of using tab deliminated text. The problem is that when I export them, I lose contacts, some are merged into one (I have 477 contacts in Entourage, 300 when I actually open the file from Entourage) and others just lose half the information.

I have checked in Address book to see if it can suck the data direct and I wondered if anyone had experiecned this? If so what did you do to get round it? Or is there a 3rd party app that sucks the information from Entourage?

Thanks,

PS
My new favourite software, delicious library, it's amazing.

Give this a shot...

Create a folder somewhere (Desktop, documents, etc)..

Go into Entourage, click on the Address Book icon, then "Select All" and highlight all of the names..

Drag them from Entourage into the folder you previously created.

Then, copy the items from the folder, into the OS X Address book...

If you want to export elsewhere - you can - once its in the OS X Address book, you can select all and export to a single vcard file 0 which is handy!

Hi,

Thanks for that, it worked! Or at least for most, I still don't get around 200 of my contacts but unlike the last time they are all in good shape and useable. It is very odd as some of them are full vcards that i have received and they appear in Entourage ok but cannot export. Very odd.

Thank you again.
