Entourage Problem - Been messing for hours

Hey all,

I'm trying to download all my email off my gmail account and delete the ones on the server...

I've been using IMAP so far but when I decided to delete mails on the server, ones I downloaded to my computer got wiped off as well!!

...so I set up a pop3 account but for some reason it didn't download all messages. And after a couple of hours it stopped working! I've got no idea what I did wrong.

What should I do to download ALL messages on gmail, and delete all on the server?
