Entourage Problem

Hi

I'm trying to setup my email to make use of Entourage's features, such as the shared calendars etc.

I've tried to create a new account, following the tutorial found at:
http://www.entourage.mvps.org/exchange/exchangeatwork.html

In the left hand pane, it say that 'Exchange (Not connected).

I've filled out all the fields (username/password/exchange server etc), but it still wont connect.

I get an error message though:

An unknown error (-17199) occurred

Is there any reason why this happens?

I wish I could help you. Perhaps someone here will. I gave up on Entourage after four years. Mail, Address Book, and iCal sync flawlessly with my iPhone.

Every Exchange server is setup differently. Just because both Exchange and Entourage are both Microsoft products does not mean that your Exchange server is compatible with Entourage. Unlike Outlook, Entourage cannot autodiscover your Exchange server and its proper settings.

Suggestion:

• Find a Windows computer with a working Outlook setup of your Exchange account.
• Carefully note all settings.
• Type those settings into your account on Entourage.

If this does not work, then call IT.
