Entourage sending attachments as ".pdf.doc"

Hi,

OSX 10.5.8
Word 12.2.6
Entourage 12.2.6

When i save a word document as a .pdf file and then send it from entourage it arrives with a ".pdf.doc" file type that no one can open, can anyone suggest a reason why or how i can fix this problem.

It sounds like you're not actually saving the file correctly as a PDF. If you're just typing in .pdf as your extension in Word, that won't make a PDF. Instead of going to the Save As menu, go to the Print menu. From there, select the PDF button in the bottom left corner, and select "save as PDF".
