While I was editing my address book, Entourage decided to delete, while I watched, all my adressees. My self was the only item left.

Has anyone seen or heard of this before?? This seems like a virus.

Luckily I had backed up my address book and was able to continue.

What gives? I switched to apple because of this crap with windoze. Now these
problems have found me on the imac.

If you're talking about the contacts within Entourage (as opposed to the independent Address Book app), then this hint might help. Entourage is a Microsoft app and is known for getting a corrupt database every now and then. We can't really blame Apple for making it dodgy, now can we... I recommend migrating to Apple's own Mail + iCal + Address Book combo. :)
