I have a work macbook pro and use entourage. I am switching jobs and will be forced back to using windows. I have a substantial amount of email I want to save, but have not found an easy way to import the .rge file from entourage into Outlook for Windows.

If on my mac I upgrade to Outlook for Mac in Office 2011, will it import the emails in entourage?

If so, will I then be able to same the email in Office 2011 as a .pst file and then import into Outlook for windows?

I know there are a lot of "if's" there, but I'd rather not drop $200 bucks on Office 2011 if I can't move my emails.

thanks in advance
Robert

It should but if there is any corruption in the data, the import will fail. However, your goal is to get your data into a format that can be used on a PC. Forget this route.

Outlook for Mac DOES NOT export as .pst file. Your best option is to export as .mbox file or upload all mail to an IMAP or Exchange account.

Export folders as MBOX files (includes subfolders) http://www.office.mvps.org/downloads/scripts/jolly/Make_MBOX.zip
