Envoy Pro disconnect

Does anyone have a problem with this.Its really fast and great for moving data between a 5.1 and 6.1 machine. However, it very often just disconnects on both machines. If i'm saving to it at the time the program crashes or the files corrupt.

Had it 4 yrs and its always been the same

I had a similar problem with an earlier model of OWC caddy for a 2010/11 MacBook Air SSD, not sure how much the design has changed, so may or may not be relevant.

Neither the circuit board nor the SSD were fixed in place inside the enclosure, so any cable movement would cause disconnects and errors. I suspect the SSD and board inside would move independently of one another, so some hot glue at the edges of the board (not the SSD) solved the problem for the last few years (until the hot glue hotfix became brittle and failed.)
