I called up a retail Apple Store last Thursday to ask if they still had the previous gen iMacs in stock. I was told they did and then also said 'with EOL discount it will be this much... much sure you ask for EOL discount when you get in store'. It worked out to be around 10 % from memory (£1350 down to 1240)

I called up today, and the person on the phone knew nothing about it. He asked around, and said that there is definitely no EOL discount on the previous gen macs.

What's going on?

Thought I'd bump this one, as it might be important for anyone considering a Mac in the UK. EOL stands for 'end of line' - I forgot to mention that!
