It's a bit off the wall, but bear with me...
I've got an Epson D68 printer at home (cheap A4 inkjet, very passable in terms of output). Now that this recession is starting to hit hard, I have an idea for which I need to start at the bottom and work upwards. I want to produce some framed prints, but A4 is just simply too small to create any real impact. So...
I've tried looking for this to no avail and I wondered if maybe someone knows a way to manipulate printer drivers. What I'd like to do is print to A4 width (210mm) but to effectively print to any length (looking at around 600 - 800mm). Epson don't have anything like it, that I can find, anyway.
Idea is that I can try this out, see how it goes, make a mint out of it (yeah, right!) and then I can upgrade to an A3+ (such as an Epson R1900 or similar) and then get busy should the worst happen. I'm a freelance artworker, in a seemingly great position at the moment, but budgets are starting to get tight and the effect is getting noticeable.
I'm using an iMac on 10.5.6, Epson driver is just a standard out of the box version. Crossing fingers...
