epson stylus 2200 problem

I have been trying everything to fix my stylus 2200. When I print photos, even black and white ones, it prints out with a extrememly noticable purple tint. Vector images from illustrator print fine, but when images are printed, it prints purple. I have downloaded all the latest drivers and followed all instructions. Anyone with similar problems?

Change the cartilage, that might do the trick.

I tried that already...and i cleaned the heads and all of that. Like i said, it prints vector images fine, its the photos that turn out the wrong color.
