epson stylus photo R220 can't install driver

i recently bought an epson stylus photo R220. when i tried to install the driver from the enclosed CD, everything worked EXCEPT the actual printing CDs...when I hit print it said the drivers for printing CDs were not installed.
quickly found out about the problem with Intel macs, so I downloaded the new driver from epson, but i still get the same thing. i have uninstalled/re-installed so many times i'm dizzy. Any suggestions??

i'm supposed to have my CD ready for a show next week so I really need to get this solved ASAP. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You are going to have go into the system and library folders and get rid of any trace of the install files of the printer and then your are going to have to get the epson intell drivers
