I have an Epson Stylus Photo R320 printer, which I am attempting to print on from iPhoto. In contrast to other printers I've used this one has weird settings for page sizes. Under 'Print' in iPhoto, when choosing the paper size there is no '4x6' or '5x7'. Instead there are numbers like w376h675 (numbers I made up), which I'm guessing is height and width.

All I want to do is print some 4x6 and 5x7 photos but cannot find the right setting.

Thanks

Epson Stylus Photo R320 - Updated Driver for Intel OS X

I too had this problem. Drivers are the answer. The default Tiger (OSX 10.4) drivers for Epson R300 (Gimp Print 5.0.0 beta2) have the weird page sizes.

Epson Website

When you download Epson's Tiger driver (Printer Driver v3.0aAs) the correct US paper sizes will be available.

Once you run the downloaded file be sure to restart your computer. Otherwise the new updated drivers will not be visible in the Printer Setup Utility.

Now if I could just get the colors correct on the print.

Epson Stylus Photo R320

Dogboysam,
Have you tried this lately? I purchased my intel based iMac in May. I'm a recent microsoft convert, so I'm feeling my way in iMac. I downloaded this new driver from the very start, but didn't know about the photo printing problems until last week. I've downloaded epson11847.dmg and the weird paper sizes are there. In print utility the driver is still listed as (Gimp Print 5.0.0 beta2)

I don't have an intel mac, so maybe this has changed...

In order to use the Epson-provided drivers instead of the Gimp-Print ones, you must click More Printers, then select EPSON USB as the comm protocol. Then Print Using: All, to get the Borderless as well as regular driver to Add in. (EPSON USB has been required in all versions of OS X, so I don't think it's changed)

HTH

If, after clicking Add/+, then the browser window comes up, then you click More Printers, then in the pull-down menus you don't see Epson USB (Windows Printing is in the same pull-down, for example), Then you have an OS X system software problem, and I'm guessing the best way to fix it is to reinstall OS X using the Archive & Install option in the installer.

Epson USB is the standard comm protocol used by most Epson drivers, so it shows up without installing any new drivers - to me this indicates your original OS X installation was defective.

This did the trick for me. Just use your printer model instead of the rx580

DOWNLOAD

If you have not done so already, use the following steps to obtain the
download for the new Intel Core Duodriver:

1. Go to http://support.epson.com
2. For a multifunction device, select All-in-Ones then Flatbed, then your
all-in-one model.
3. Under DRIVERS & DOWNLOADS select Macintosh.
4. Download only the driver marked for the Intel Core Duo system:

Installation instructions:

1. After download is complete, double click the icon that appears on your
desktop. This will create a disk image on your desktop.
2. Open this disk image and double-click the INSTALLER icon to begin the
installation.
3. Enter password and follow prompts through install.
4. Quit the installer and restart the Mac once the installation is
complete.

Please try the following to add the printer once the new downloadable Intel
Core Duo driver has been downloaded and installed properly:

1. Connect printer.
2. Open Printer Setup Utility.
3. Click ADD.
4. Ensure you are on the Default Browser window.
5. Highlight printer as it appears under Printer Name.
6. Your printer model should automatically appear under PRINT USING. If it
does not appear, select OTHER (not EPSON - which links you to GIMP drivers,
which we don't recommend or support).
7. A new window opens where you can Browse to the hard drive location of:
HD > Library > Printers > Epson > Inkjet Printers
(This location contains all the Intel Core DuoEpson driver plugins, be they
resident or downloaded.)
8. Highlight/Select the plugin for your printer model in the Inkjet
Printers folder, then click OPEN.
9. Use the up/down arrows at the end of PRINT USING again to (re)select the
printer's name, which will now appear at the TOP of the PRINT USING list.
10. Click ADD. The new downloaded driver will now be added on the list.
11. If there are other printers on the list, ensure the Epson is made
default before testing.
