In Windows, you can use alt-tab to cycle through every open application window. However, hitting command-tab in OS X cycles through every PROGRAM that is open at the moment instead.

For example, I'm chatting to two different people on iChat, but I don't want to constantly move one hand to the mouse to click on another window. Is there a keyboard shortcut I'm not aware of that will let me swap focus on different windows?

Never mind, just found it.

Moderators, I would be thankful if this thread could be erased. :)

Ahh if you are willing to spend a couple of bucks, there's an amazing alternative on the App Store. I'm using it now and the default function is Option Tab and a list comes up that cycles through every open application regardless of state or location (in terms of spaces).

Let me check...

It's called WindowFlow.

Check it out :)
