Er... May have to use lightroom instead of aperture

I love aperture's interface and it's workflow for my dslr. However its unable to playback mpg files from my point and shoot Sony w300. iPhoto has no problems with movies from the w300. I could use iPhoto for my w300 but that seems like a pain in the butt to use two applications. Has anyone else experience this and knows of a better workaround ?

I have the same problem. Some of the videos play fine in Quicktime but not inside Aperture. What I did was use Handbrake and re-encode it using the Regular preset. It plays fine now. It's a hassle but at least all the files are managed under one program instead of two. Good luck.
