I just did a clean install of SL, with a migration assistant helped with getting the files back from time machine...

BUT, it's missing one huge file... my iPhoto database. What's going on?

I have nearly 1000 photos in there and it didn't seemed to have backed it up???

I can't find it in my Time Machine partition. It backed up everything except for that. Is it supposed to somewhere else?

The same thing happened to me when I wiped my computer and restored from a Time machine backup... Unfortunately I could not restore my photos that I had for the past 6 months (including photos from my trip to France). I called apple and they said there is nothing they could do.

This is what I tried but did not work... Maybe it will work for you!

1: Open Iphoto and hold down apple option while clicking and rebuild the databases

2: Did you try manually restoring the iphoto data from each backup? Go to the time machine backup and go to photos and copy it to your photos folder.
