Im giveing my girl friend my old iphone, how do I wipe the phone clean before I give it to her also she does not need the data plan but does need a new phone, will she have to pay for the data plan and just use the phone as a phone ?

Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
Then if you are paranoid you could also do a restore.
Also, she will have to have the data plan.
