Here's the deal:
I bought a new MacBook Pro.
I would like to give my old MacBook to my cousin.
I want to erase the installed Snow Leopard and re-install it to give the laptop to her "new".
My MacBook started life with Tiger, then moved to Leopard and upgraded to Snow Leopard. I have all the disks.
What is the right procedure to get to where I want to be on this? I am not sure and don't want to mess things up.
Thanks for any help.

PS. I tried a research on the web but got some conflicting information.

Boor from the Snow Leopard disk by holding alt while booting and select the install disk with arrow keys and press enter. Select your language and wait for the Menu Bar to appear. Then select Disk Utility from Utilities in Menu Bar. Select your HD from left hand side sidebar and click erase tab. Erase the HD and exit Disk Utility. Then follow the instructions to install OS X

Ok

Well, that seems easy enough (even for me!).
Thanks. will give it a try!
