I'm selling my umb tonight, have backed up my drive, have installed os X. Now it goes through the whole welcome video.

What about installing apps?

Should I set up a dummy account and then install the apps?

Should I leave it like it is and let the new owner install the apps so that they can enjoy the welcome video and the thrill of the setting up their new machine?

IS there a way to install this without registering?

quick help would be appreciated as I'm selling this thing in about 2 hours

You don't have to register. Use a dummy account to install, then set it up to run the welcome movie on next reboot.

Google "AppleSetupDone" for instructions.

hmm, maybe I'll just have the new user install the apps dvd then. I don't want to set up an account and I googled this before i asked but received conflicting reports... depending on the os I assume?

I dunno, simply put I don't really know what I'm doing.

I'm pretty new to macs and don't wanna screw this thing up 1 day before i sell it. (the buyer had to re-schedule the completion of the transaction so that would have bought me some time)
