Erase disk and files

Hi

I have just erase a partition from Disk Utility and it says that there are 2 files and 3 folders in the disk.

It is just formatted from Disk Utility in the OS X install disk.

It is normal?

If you used Mac OS Extended (HFS+) as format, there will be hidden files and folders, which are counted too. Those hidden files and folders are used for Spotlight and the Trash.
