Hey everyone,

I was looking to do some work to a Early 2008 white MacBook. It's running Mac OSX 10.5 right now, and I'd really like to upgrade to 10.6. The specs are just fine, just before I upgrade, I really don't want to overwrite the old OS and data; what I'd really like to do is wipe the internal HD clean, format it to the correct filesystem (Mac OS Extended + Journaled...?), and install 10.6 on the clean disk that way. Not really sure how to wipe the data off of the drive though. If someone could provide tips that would be fantastic. Thanks.

PS. If anyone could point to some compatible RAM that would also be great. The MacBook has 2GB at the moment, but I really feel like 4 GB would be much more suitable. Looking for the best bang for my buck. Thanks.
