Erase - Input/output error

Hello,

I run an imac on Tiger and just got a Drobo.

1. I have erased and zero'd the Drobo - no problom
2. I wanted to erase the Drobo again without writing zeros - did not work. I got a message: Input/Output Error


I then tried to partition the Drobo but I got the same message.

Any advice?

On a sidenote, I've never seen that problem with a drobo before. Have you tried asking on the drobospace forum? Calling support?
