Erase iPhone

hi.
i had my iphone erased and clicked "erase iphone".
it said it will take 2 hours but it has been 3 days that an apple logo is just appearing at the screen.
what will i do since i have no idea about troubleshooting this?
i have an iphone 3G 16GB

please help by showing me the steps.

If your iphone was JB that's the reason its stuck.
If you had the ipad baseband installed in order to unlock it then you will not be able to do a regural restore with itunes either.

Did you jailbreak your iPhone? Because as Applejuiced said, that will prevent you from erasing it directly from the phone. It is intended to be a safeguard so you don't accidentally undo your jailbreak. You'll need to restore on a computer.
