Before I upgraded to Leopard, I had my external HD partitioned in 2 parts with 120GB for a SuperDuper clone. Now that I've got Leopard, I was thinking about using that partition for Time Machine for now and when SuperDuper, I'll get a new external either for that or for Time Machine again.

My question is, can I erase all the data on the 120Gb partition using the "Erase" option in Disk Utility? e.g. Will this also erase the other partition?

Or is there another option I'm not seeing?

Ah I'm not sure that was what I was asking, but I found the solution anyway. I just erased the partition and it was ready for Time Machine with the other partition intact.:) Thanks for your reply though.
