I accidentally deleted a few songs from iTunes and when I added them back in from the trash, their playcounts and date addeds were all reverted. For someone who indexes heavily by both, it's annoying.
I managed to fix the playcounts with an Applescript, but couldn't find one for the dates. Does anybody know about one or could write one?
Thanks very much!

Wouldn't this information be competely overwritten when you added them back in?

Yup. Once you delete it from the iTunes application, it makes the appropriate changes to the .xml file and boom! No more file.

You can open up that .xml file located within your /Music/iTunes/ folder and see if you can change it from there. But good luck on that. I don't know much more than thats where the data is stored.
