I need to mail my santa rosa mbp back for returns, and I was wondering how to erase a mac hard drive?

On Windows I used dban. Is there anything similar for Mac?

Thanks in advance!

youll have to boot with the OS cd that came with your computer. There are plenty of options if you worry about security, like overwriting the whole drive with 0's multiple times.

Yeah, just boot with the OS install CD, and at the top you'll get a menu bar. Under one of those menu's is disk utility. Use that to wipe the drive clean or wipe with 0's.
