Hi. Just a quick ? RE: Erasing an External Hard Drive. I have a 2.5 Internal HD in an enclosure I need to erase so I can use Carbon Copy Cloner to duplicate my internal Macbook pro 13 Hard Drive and use the external as a bootable external HD. How do I effectively erase all the data on the external ?

Thanks.

1. open disk utility
2. click on HD
3. click the erase tab
4. format in HFS (Journaled)
