Erasing free space Macbook Pro late 2011

Hi,
U have a macbook pro late 2011 and I want to erase the free space but I don't want the complicated risks of doing it thropugh terminal. I seem to remember when I returned the macbook to out of the box state once an early window offered the choice of erasing free space. I'd appreciate some help as I'm nervous of erasing everything!

And it's available for a 30-day demo.

This will do the job for you.
If it's a platter-based drive, I'd recommend that you defrag it, as well.
