How do I erase it? I cleared history, cache, and cookies already.

Someone searching for something they shouldn't be looking for ;) .

Open Safari > Bookmarks (be sure you are at the root of bookmarks) > History > touch the "Clear" button at the bottom .

That should do the trick

click the magnifying glass next to the grey "Google" in the search bar and choose "Clear recent searches"

Do you have that on your iPod Touch or iPhone? I don't have that option on my G2. I know it is a feature in windows or PC safari, but I have never seen that on the "pocket" version.

Lol I didn't know that one, thanks!

Sure, but that will clear all the Safari history too. Is there anyway to just clear Google?

And actually I tried it and it doesn't clear Google.

Thanks

I am not sure if that list is populated by the iPod or google itself. Not sure why one would visi that page ( unless it is their homepage ). If you log into google's site, or use the web version of gmail, it will save your search history in their database.

If that data is saved locally, clearin history and cookies would work. Currently there is no seperate function to only clear search history like on normal safari.

Heh alright ya caught me. <insert lame excuse here>

Anywho, through some combination of something I managed to do it. So let's just keep this our little secret;).

Someone I think earlier asked how to clear previous searches on a normal browser. On Firefox I think there is a specific "clear search history" option. If there is an individual search listing you want to erase, type it into the search until it shows up as a suggestion, click it while hitting Delete on your keyboard.

My what a world we live in.

Well I am glad you got everything figured out.

On a related note.
I once searched for a birthday present on my girlfriends laptop (I was waiting for her to get ready for dinner). I totally forgot to clear my search history, and two days later I was asked (via SMS) why I was looking at iPods on her computer.

Yeah... had to kinda skate around that subject.

On the main Google page

How would you clear history? In other words if you type in an "H" all previous searches starting with an "H" come up...how do you clear that?

Thanks
