I have just erased my hard drive with a 7 pass secure erase as I am in the process of selling my macbook. I have a few questions about installing snow leopard.

The original OS was Leopard, and I upgraded to snow leopard later.

After installing Snow Leopard from the disc what about all the apps from the original OSX disc? will it ask me to install that on top of Snow Leopard to install mail, etc? or does Snow Leopard already have all of those apps on the disc?

I am looking to make the hard drive like new for the next owner.

Thanks in advance.

All the applications should be on the second disc that came with your Mac. You should be able to install them from there. If not, erase your HD again, install Leopard complete with the apps, and then just upgrade to Snow Leopard.
