Hi guys, I can't seem to find a comfortable position to use the 27" iMac while sitting down in front of a desk

On a standard height table, the imac is too tall on the upper edge. Reducing the table height makes it uncomfortable as my legs will hit the table underside easily, and the keyboard mice is held at an awkward angle.

All feels fine and good when it's tried at the applestore, probably because it's in a standing position, which is probably what it's mostly used for as a POS station.

Anyone else who faces this problem?

I got a 21.5 because looking at the 27", I knew it would be just to big.

Any idea how this is mounted? Plus, he needs to get rid of that reflection on his display:)

It looks a lot like an IKEA Numerar wood countertop with a +6 inch deep sliver cut out of part of the back. Then the sliver is sanded and suspended below the desk surface with metal angles. He made his wide enough for another monitor, and the notch in the desk is also useful for cables & as a ledge for HDDs.

I have a long Numerar for a desk top and they are nice solid slabs to work with. ---But really heavy! Mine has an arced shape on one side and it's just over an inch away from the wall at the back for cord plugs to fit through.

I mounted my 27" via VESA on the wall, because it's a pain in the neck from using it on my desk. So I use it from the couch with a wireless keyboard and magic mouse.

Meanwhile, my 21.5" is perfectly fine on my desk.

My 27" iMac is resting normally on a desk and I am having no issues with it. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. :)

Actually I wish my 27" iMac was a couple of inches higher.
