Ericsson T39m & iSync: cannot add device

I upgraded to 10.4.1, and now I cannot add my T39m to iSync. When going through the Bluetooth control panel, the iSync checkbox is not marked, and when doing "Add device" in iSync, it says it cannot connect to the phone.

This worked without problems with 10.2.8

I'm using a DBT-120. Don't tell me I need to update the firmware (I don't want to make the dongle Apple-only).
