Went to the Apple Store tonight and played around with the new MacBook.

Me: try the track pad
Wife: *click* *click* ... Seems nice
Me: It's not moving
Wife: huh?
Me: The trackpad. It's not really moving. It makes you think it is.
Wife: BS!

She then studies it for a while to see if she can see it move.

It's so convincing it's Erie. Can't wait till mine arrives.

My wife had a similiar reaction. She had to look really closely and still had trouble believing it.

I tried it out on the newer rMBP because I was in no way convinced that it could replace the old trackpads. I was wrong.

I knew it didn't really move before I tried it. Still got me. That things might be the most impressive feat of engineering that we can see without taking the machine appart.

And nobody's bitching about it, too, which is also impressive for Apple :D

Yes, and it is actually out there in the wild on the rMBP; I don't recall seeing any threads in the MBP forum complaining about it.
