Error -1 when updating to iOS6

Tried updating my iPhone 4 to iOS6 and it gave me an Error -1 saying it couldn't be restored. Tried it in DFU mode and same thing happened. Anyone have a work around this?

I'm desperate here. Anything you guys suggest? The phone's completely out of warranty.

I had this problem on my iPhone 4s. I brought it to the Apple store for repair and they said that it is a hardware problem. They replaced the phone for me free of charge under warranty. $150 or so if here is no warranty.

In what state is your phone after the restore?

If it is in recovery try to kick it out of recovery with redsn0w or TinyUmbrella

error -1 indicates a Baseband problem
