Error 1004 in App Store

I have searched for advice on the Error 1004 message from the App Store but have only found it discussed as an error in iOS.

I upgraded to Mountain Lion and as I was downloading some updates in the App Store my Mac froze. Once I rebooted and went to the App Store to resume the updates it gives me the "Error 1004" message. Any ideas?
