iPod touch error 1604

hey! i had trouble restoring my itouch...1604 error...so i looked through forums and ideas and they didnt help...what i did was i saved my files, movies ,music,to an external hard drive from itunes,,,then i deleted itunes 7.6 completely.. i then downloaded and old version of itunes 7.2 from oldapps.com...after install of 7.2 i did a update to 7.6, and then restored my itouch...it worked like a charm...this was the only way i got it to work,,,everything else sucked...hope this is useful cause it was for me
