I'm trying to upgrade my iPhone 4 to 4.1 but itunes keeps giving me error 3014 when it's on the verifying stage. I found that it looks like it has something to do with the host files, but I'm confused on what it should be because it used to be one way on 3.1.3 and now it seems like that has changed. I've been jailbroken on 4.0.1. Any help would be great!

Had the same issue, but with error 1044. Using my Dell work notebook...I had this issue. Used my home desktop that does not use domain login and worked like a charm. I would suggest using another computer to update to 4.1 if you have another machine. Mine errored during the verification stage as well. Nothing I could do would make it work on my notebook, even updating Itunes to version 10.
