Okay, so I recently upgraded from Tiger to Leopard on my older Macbook. Since then, I've been getting an Error -36 message when I try to copy files from my laptop to my external. Copying from the external to the laptop works no problem. However, when I unplugged my hard drive for a couple hours, and tried again, I was able to move one or two files before I started to get the error again. I tried that trick again today, but to no avail. It just won't copy anything to the external at all now. I'm wondering if this is a hardware failure, or if it might have something to do with Leopard?
It is a 500 GB Western Digital External HDD, formatted in FAT32 format. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
