iPod touch Error -39 appears

Has anyone had experience with this error and any resolution for it? This just appeared this am. and was OK yesterday (5/31/09). I did a PC restore to (5/28/09) when I know the sync was OK, but still receive the error note.

I have iPod Touch with the latest sofware and just updated iTunes. I really don't want to "restore" the iPod Touch so asking here before I do that.

So with no resolution found I did a restore on the iPod Touch. So far everything seems to be working normally now. Would love to know what the error was and how to fix it if it returns.
