ok,im trying to import a .mov file into imovie.when doing this im getting an error message -40 file cannot be imported.the file sizes are about 25GB.they start to import and then after about 15min with error message.these files were truncated in mpeg streamclip.please can you help me

Can you open the .mov file in QuickTime Player and open the Movie Inspector window (CMD+I) and report the settings and codecs used?
Or you could try VideoSpec, MediaInfo Mac or other video analysation tools to report back what codec(s) is (are) involved.
