After installing macOS 13.4.1(c) on an M1 Mini, I keep receiving the message "...error -50" whenever I try to delete some file or folder. Very annoying! Apple says it's due to faulty installation of the last update. Is anyone else with the same issue?

Random thoughts...

What happens if you boot into "safe mode" (hold down shift key at boot), and THEN try to delete the folders/files?

You could try installing the update again (if it will do so).

You could sign up for the developer/beta program, install the latest developer beta (which is now 13.5, I believe), and see if that corrects the problem.

Thanks, I'm aware of that route of action; I thought I might be able to avoid it. Perhaps I can't avoid it after all. Thanks again.

Eventually, I managed to solve the issue by using a different cord and a different USB port for the external disk. Apparently, the advice posted by many before, "Check ext disk's cord and/or use a different USB port," is sheer gold!
