I've been recreuited to repair a friend's iPhone 6. New screen, fairly easy job, no issues. Except now when I boot the device it says "Failed to activate Touch ID", and when I try to add a fingerprint in Settings, it's greyed out. Trying to turn on one of the Touch ID use toggles at the top of the page brings me to the first set up page of Touch ID, then an error appears.

The new screen was a 3rd Party screen. The original home button was used. I followed iFixit's guide to the dot. I don't think it will be that big of a deal if Touch ID only doesn't work, but will this result in Error 53 occurring if my friend updates the iPhone?
